Jesse reached out to me saying he and his girlfriend had booked a last-minute trip. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend Sophia while they were here in Puerto Rico. We went back and forth on locations, ultimately landing on the beach near their hotel--the Fairmont El San Juan Hotel in Isla Verde, Carolina, Puerto Rico. Found a spot about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to get away from all the crowds from the resorts along the beach. I arrived before them and acted like a tourist taking photos of the beach. When they arrived, walking down the beach from the hotel, they stopped and admired the ocean for a minute. He turned to her and took her hands in his. He poured out his heart to her and got down on one knee presenting the ring. When I spoke with him on the phone, he told me she is his best friend and, "She’s definitely the light in my life, for sure." And then I got to meet her myself. :) Beautiful and super sweet. What a joy to spend time with this couple. Congratulations to Jesse and Sophia on their engagement!
