Jake and Lori dated as teenagers. They went their separate ways and lived a lot of life. They later reconnected and reignited their spark. They chose to get married on her grandmother's birthday to honor her memory. His nephew officiated their sunrise ceremony at the Castillo San Cristóbal in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The weather was a cool 75 degrees at sunrise. :) The streets were pretty empty, too...except for the 5k race taking place that morning! Thankfully, we finished the ceremony before the runners arrived at our location. We were doing couples portraits as the racers ran past us and started cheering, yelling congratulations to the newlyweds.
Lori sent me this sweet message when she received their photos: "You made the entire experience just wonderful. Thank you for your kindness, professionalism, creativity and for putting us at ease." I love getting feedback like this. :)
